A homeowner in Lorain, OH had an old, dysfunctional sump pump that was not keeping up with all of the rain in his area. He knew he needed the system replaced with a more reliable, long-lasting product. He found that Cleveland Basement Systems was his local waterproofing expert and gave them a call. He spoke with our Customer Care Representative and was quickly scheduled with a free in-home estimate with one of our pro inspectors!
Kevin, the inspector, arrived to the free estimate and began inspecting the sump pump. He noticed that the pump sounded very weak and was not pushing water out correctly. He sat down with the customer and explained that we carry a state-of-the-art sump pump that will outlast any tradition machine. The TripleSafe is a three-pump system made of cast-iron material. This durable system can handle up to 6,200 gallons of water at a time and kick on during a power outage. The customer was so excited to get this new and improved sump pump installed soon!
On the day of the project, the waterproofing crew got to work and installed the TripleSafe in just half a day! They jackhammered around the crock to make room for the large basin. They then placed the TripleSafe into the ground, filled the outside with gravel, inserted the Zoeller cast-iron pump in, attached the drainage pipes and concreted to finish. They tested the system and it worked so much more efficiently! The homeowner could at last relax because he had a reliable system that would keep his basement dry, for good.

A homeowner in Lorain, OH was experiencing cracked walls and sticking doors. These are symptoms of a settling foundation and needs to be addressed before more damage is done. The customer called Cleveland Basement Systems and was quickly scheduled with a free in-home estimate.
The inspector assessed both inside and outside of the home. He noticed multiple hairline cracks in the drywall and the customer explained those have grown over the years. the inspector also performed a floor survey with a zip level and there was approximately a 2 1/2 inch deflection near the rear right hand corner of the home. This house was built on a slab home, meaning it was made on top of a thick concrete pad that serves as both the foundation and the floor. In order to fix the settling issues, the inspector recommended having CLBS install helical piers. Helical piers are a type of steel pier that is used to permanently stabilize a home. The first part of the pier that is advanced into the ground has one or more helix-shaped blades that allow it to mechanically screw into the soil. The weight of the home is then transferred from the home through the helical piers onto load bearing soil deep beneath the surface. The helical piers lift the home back to its original position, which helps the uneven floors and sticking doors. The homeowner left the detailed and free estimate with a permanent and proven solution to their foundation problems.
