Christmas Party 2025

This past weekend, the Cleveland Basement Systems team came together for a Christmas Party. Despite 6-8 inches of snow falling throughout the evening, many team members braved the Midwest winter weather, which was so meaningful. Friends and family even got to tag along with their loved ones who work for us to see the new warehouse space and get to know one another.

Waterproofing Products Installed in Old, Wet Basement in Limaville, OH

On the day of install, the waterproofing crew arrived and began working to create a healthier environment for this customer. They started by jackhammering around the perimeter of the basement in order to make room for the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is a drainage channel that sits flush to the floor and against the wall to catch any water that comes out of the walls or floor. This no-clog system allows water to drain into the sump pump instead of sitting stagnant and creating mold. Once this was installed, the crew then started digging a place for the TripleSafe sump pump. Since this basement had no sump pump before, the water didn't have a way to move away from the home. The TripleSafe was installed at the lowest point of the basement in order that water be dumped into it and then ejected away. The TripleSafe is an ultra-reliable sump pump that is equipped with three separate pumps. Pump one is 1/3 horse power that works most of the time and pushes up to 2,600 gallons of water away an hour. Pump two is 1/2 HP and kicks on when there's an excess amount of water; handling up to 6,200 gallons an hour. Pump three is an UltraSump battery backup that will prevent flooding in the event of a power outage! The final product installed was the CleanSpace wall covering system. CleanSpace is tightly secured to the basement walls and is 100% waterproof. Not only does CleanSpace make the basement appear brighter and cleaner, but it resists mold growth and moves water in the perimeter drainage system. The homeowner was relieved to have a waterproofed basements with reliable, long-lasting products.

Once in the crawl space, they saw water, rotted wood beams and uneven joists. The Customer Care Representative promptly scheduled the customer with a free in-home estimate to get a detailed inspection done.

During the free estimate, the inspector climbed into the crawl space and noted each problem section. Once done, he sat down with the customer and wrote out a detailed quote. He explained to the homeowner that the high moisture rates had caused the wood to rot, therefore creating sagging floors. The inspector explained that Cleveland Basement Systems has an innovative, durable stabilization system that could hold the weight of the beams and even out the floor above. The customer was looking forward to having a reliable and reputable company fix this big crawl space issue.

On the day of the install, the crew arrived and began working to waterproof the customer's home. They began by jackhammering along the perimeter of the basement in order to make room for WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a no-clog drainage system that sits flush to the floor in order to catch water from both the walls and the floors. Once they jackhammered, they drilled weeping holes to allow water to drain from the bottom of the wall into the drainage channel. The placed the WaterGuard into the area, put gravel around it and concreted over it. This system not only drains water into the sump pump, but is also almost invisible!

After this, the installers put in a TripleSafe sump pump and the CleanSpace wall covering. The TripleSafe was placed in the lowest corner of the basement to catch the most water and push it away from the foundation. The TripleSafe is equipped with three separate pumps that work in different scenarios. The first pump works most of the time, but if it fails or there's too much water, the second pump will kick on. The third pump is battery operated and will work even through a power outage. The CleanSpace wall covering was the final addition to this waterproofing project. CleanSpace is a thick, 20mil liner that acts as a powerful vapor barrier that rejects mold and prevents water from sitting stagnant. This customer was so relieved to have his wet basement repaired for good!

On the day of the install, the waterproofing crew arrived promptly at the customer's house. They did an initial walkthrough with the homeowner to re-explain the process and answer any questions. They then began by installing the WaterGuard drainage channel along the perimeter of the basement floor. To do this, they used a jackhammer to create a space for the piping to go. They then drilled weeping holes in the bottom of the wall in order for water to flow into the WaterGuard system. The installers placed WaterGuard into the area they made, surrounded it with gravel, and concreted over it. After installing the WaterGuard system, the crew then tightly hung the CleanSpace wall covering system. CleanSpace is a 20mil thick plastic liner that is tear-resistant and works against water as a vapor barrier. CleanSpace rejects mold growth and helps to move water in the WaterGuard. As a plus, CleanSpace has a bright, white appearance to transform a dark looking basement!

These homeowners was relieved to finally have a years-long problem put to bed!

Helical Piers Lift Home to Correct Position in Westlake, OH

On the morning of the install, the crew did an initial walkthrough with the homeowner. They re-explained the process of installation and exactly what they would be doing. They then began by removing soil form the area where the piers would be installed. The first section is then installed deep within the bed rock of the earth using a specialized hydraulic equipment. Additional steel sections are added toe extend the helical piers even deeper to reach stable soil. Then, a steel foundation bracket is connected to each pier and attached to the footing. This transfers the weight of the home onto the strong galvanized steel helical piers. These helical piers will not rust over time and and it's round shaft design has high resistant to bending. To complete the project, the crew used the helical piers to lift the house to its original position. This automatically repaired the cracks on the inside and outside of the home. The installers made sure to backfill the job site and clean the area. They performed a final walkthrough with the homeowner and the customer was thrilled to have a stabilized home!

Humid Crawl Space Repaired wit CleanSpace in Bay Village, OH

The crawl space crew arrived to the customer's home and began to install CleanSpace. They began by clearing the dirt crawl space of any debris or old insulation. They then laid drainage matting to the floor. CleanSpace drainage matting has a dimpled design in order to collect water and direct it to a perimeter drain. It is installed before the CleanSpace vapor barrier system for an added layer of separation between the earth's soil. Before CleanSpace is installed, the installers want to make sure that this space is insulated. They attach SilverGlo to the block walls and also use spray foam around the joists. SilverGlo is a rigid foam board made of graphite-infused materials that work to reflect heat back into the crawl space. The foam packs are used to insulate the cracks and gaps between the floor joists due to the fact that they can create drafts. Next, the CleanSpace encapsulation system is tightly fastened to the walls and floors of the crawl space. Due to it's air tight seal, the CleanSpace has an added insulation quality to it. Not only that, but CleanSpace is a durable, antimicrobial vapor barrier that prevents mold and mildew.

This customer was so relieved to have a clean, insulated and waterproofed crawl space!

Wall Restoration and Waterproofing Products Installed in Lakewood, OH

On the day of the project, the crew arrived promptly to the job site and began by waterproofing the basement with CleanSpace. The CleanSpace wall system provides an effective vapor barrier using it's 20mil thick plastic, antimicrobial liner material. CleanSpace is tightly secured to the wall and will work hard to prevent moisture and mold. CleanSpace is secured on the wall before the new support system is put in. Integrating a waterproofing system into the stabilization product will protect the home tenfold. Next, the crew started installing the EverBrace wall restoration system. EverBrace is a wall support that is made of galvinized steel. The production crew first prepped the area, reinforced the existing wooden beams and then a top track is installed to the framing. Heavy-duty steel panael are cut custom to the wall and hung along the failing brick wall. Then, specially engineered I-beams are secured to the top track and floor. Once those are put in, rigid foam is injected behind the panels to transfer the load of the wall to the new EverBrace system. To finish out the project, steel trim is installed to give a clean, sleek look.

This homeowner can now rest assured that her home is waterproofed and structurally sound!

CleanSpace and SmartJack Restores Crawl Space in Twinsburg, OH

The inspector arrived for the free estimate and began assessing the inside of the crawl space. He noticed that the wood beams were rotting due to high humidity levels. He advised that Cleveland Basement Systems install the CleanSpace encapsulation and SmartJack stabilizing system to waterproof and support the crawl space! The inspector made sure to answer any and all questions as well as provide a detailed, written quote. The homeowner was then assigned a project date!

On the day of install, our expert crew arrived to the customer's home and began working to repair the crawl space. They first began by installing the SmartJack stabilizing system. The crew excavated a two-foot cube of soil at each location. The holes were then filled with concrete to create a load-bearing footing. This 'Bulb of Significant Stress Influence' reduces stress on the original soil by 90 percent. The SmartJack system is the only solution that solves the core issue: weak soils under your home.

The next step in this project was installing the CleanSpace encapsulation system on all of the walls and floors of the dirt crawl space. The crew first added SilverGlo rigid foam board insulation to the walls in order to provide a consistent R-Value. SilverGlo is also reflective, so it correctly bounces heat back into the crawl space. Next, drainage matting is added to the dirt floor. This product is a dimpled drainage matting system that collects water from the crawl space floor and directs it to the perimeter drain. The inspector arrived to the estimate and began evaluating the entire basement. He noticed that the walls and floors had water stains on them. Water stains is a sign that moisture in the soil is finding it's way through and not correctly being drained. On top of this, a section of the walls were bowing. Wall bowing is a signal of a foundation problem and suggested that water buildup in the soil was pushing against the basement wall. The inspector sat down with the customer and explained that the following products would fix and prevent further damage: CarbonArmor, CleanSpace, WaterGuard, IceGuard and TripleSafe.

The installers arrived to the customer's home on the day of the project and began working to waterproof and stabilize the basement. They began prepping for installing the CarbonArmor straps by grinding a thin layer of the wall. This allows the carbon fiber, epoxy product to adhere correctly. Then, an epoxy resin is applied to the wall and the carbon fiber strap is attached. CarbonArmor resists further bowing by keeping the walls firmly in place.

The second pump automatically turns on if the first one ever fails or there is too much water and can handle 6,200 gallons an hour. The third pump is battery operated and ensures that the sump pump will still operate in a power outage. Then, the IceGuard system is installed to make sure that water can escape from the line and prevent flooding during freezing temperatures. Finally, the CleanSpace wall covering was securely attached to all walls. CleanSpace not only provides a clean, bright appearance, but also resists mold growth and water vapor damage. This 20mil thick material will never rip and will direct water seepage to the WaterGuard.
